Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring that machinery, equipment, and fleet run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the efficient operation and reliability of machinery.
  • Implements preventive maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Executes regular inspections of machinery and equipment, diagnosing issues, and coordinating timely repairs to prevent breakdowns and maintain production continuity.
  • Oversees the ordering and management of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels for prompt equipment repairs.
  • Collaborates with operations managers to prioritize maintenance activities, coordinate shutdowns for major repairs, and communicate effectively to minimize disruptions.
  • Regularly checks equipment to identify any issues or potential problems.
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnoses and fixes equipment malfunctions or failures when they occur.
  • Maintains records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions.
  • Ensures that equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Basic knowledge of computers (MS Office, basic operation, folder creation, email, etc).
  • Must be able to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in field equipment repairs and maintenance.
