Job Summary: Primary responsibility is servicing Voltyx companies for all insurance/surety (bid bonds, performance/payment bonds, license bonds etc.) and certificates of insurance when bidding work and upon contract reward. When applicable, reviews contracts for insurance requirements and will respond directly to the customer when required. Works closely with insurance carrier/broker for special request contract related endorsements.  This position also includes claim servicing responsibilities for all companies.

Responsibilities

  • Bid and performance bonds –Coordinates all bond activities with internal companies. Involves contract review to ensure company’s request via bond request form is accurate. Review includes if special customer form is required. Secures authorization and forwards all bond requests to parent company for issuance. Will have frequent communications with surety liaison at parent company and broker. At times, it will be necessary to forward contracts to surety for review.  The customer may need to be contacted to confirm/verify insurance requirements. Generates monthly bond renewal list, contacting internal contact to confirm bond annual renewals and works with parent company and surety broker to execute.
  • Certificate of insurance issuance – Respond to company’s request via review of contract’s insurance requirements. Gathers required information to complete certificate of insurance request form and forward to parent company for issuance. Assist to maintain certificate holder list for accuracy, scrubs/eliminates duplicate entries and deletes expired customers/recipients.
  • Claim servicing- Coordinates claim reporting within the organization from inception to closing, assists with investigations, coordinates claim details/supporting documentation with parent company, outside broker and internal subject matter experts to collect pertinent information; submits information to report claims and is the internal liaison for all communications with parent company prepares and submits documents to implement coverage and complete claims; and creates reports on status of claims to present to senior leadership. Any other duties or tasks required when working with brokers, managing claims, and acting as a liaison between the brokers and internal business units.
  • Interface with parent company and broker on specific endorsement requests, including international policies.
  • Support day to day administration for the Company’s insurance policies including maintaining policies, endorsements, and all related correspondence.
  • Collect, review, analyze updated company exposures in support of all insurance renewals. Analyze and evaluate exposure data for patterns, trends, and data anomalies. Work closely with the parent company to complete Voltyx’s renewal.
  • Attend and participate in all pre-underwriting meetings with broker for setting and managing renewal timeline.
  • Serves as back-up for the contract litigation manager.
  • Supports other functions in the department as required and other duties as assigned.

 

  • Supervision Given/Received: Position expected to work independently and alert General Counsel and parent company Risk Management with problematic issues for resolution.
  • Physical/Mental Demands/Conditions:  Multi-tasker, ability to work on more than one project effectively and efficiently at a time in a fast-paced environment.  Possess the sense of urgency to meet short notice deadlines/due dates while diplomatically handling all last-minute requests from the field.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Risk Management or Business related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to others, internal and external
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication/diplomacy skills
  • Ability to quickly react to solve practical problems
  • Accurate and logical in all responses to customers and field inquiries
