Electric Power Systems is seeking a Relay Engineer to perform maintenance and repairs to relays in electrical power stations. As a relay technician, your duties involve repairing circuit breakers, replacing wires, testing different components, and calibrating generators.
Responsibilities
Responsible for electrical distribution system commissioning and start-up services, acceptance and maintenance testing, and on-site electronics/electrical trouble-shooting.
- Performing complex troubleshooting
- Specialized testing
- Inspections and appraisals on electrical apparatus and switchgear electrical systems
- Commissioning of Substations
- Performing NETA specified tests on cables, transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and protective relays
- Verifying correct installation of instrumentation
- Configuring and calibrating instrumentation and functional verification of operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Coursework or experience in high voltage systems and protective relay power systems.
